The Hybrion PEM electrolysis stack produces 22,9 kg of hydrogen per hour at an output pressure of max. 34 bar. This is equivalent to a power input of up to 1.25 megawatts.

As a turnkey special machinery provider, Bosch Manufacturing Solutions | BMG offers intelligent production and testing equipment, along with automation solutions. Their hydrogen portfolio supports the entire value chain – from water treatment to hydrogen production and utilization. This includes electrolysis container systems, electrolyzer stack testing, and fuel cell solutions such as stack and functional testing, lifetime container systems, and FCPM assembly and testing.

Key highlights on-site are BMG’s containerized solutions for water purification and power generation. MVR-based water purification systems provide ultrapure water for electrolysis as well as solutions for industrial water recovery and reuse, maximizing water recovery and resource efficiency. Fully automatic, CO₂-neutral fuel cell power generators provide safe and reliable energy for backup or continuous operation, with outputs from 200 kW to 1.2 MW and scalability up to 3 MW.

Complete drive solution for liquid hydrogen. With components and systems for the compression of gaseous and liquid hydrogen, Bosch Rexroth is driving forward the establishment of a hydrogen infrastructure. A new cryopump directly compresses liquid hydrogen to 875 bar and thus allows to refuel heavy trucks with 100 kg of hydrogen within 10 minutes.

An important topic in the energy transition is the efficient and cost-effective compression and storage of hydrogen.

Bosch is developing a gas compressor derived from an established automotive application. It can compress over 15 standard cubic meters per hour to up to 350 bar of high-purity hydrogen, which corresponds to more than one kilogram of hydrogen. Its compact dimensions and very low weight of under 12 kilograms significantly facilitate installation and maintenance work. In addition to hydrogen, the compressor can also be used for other gases such as nitrogen, helium, and carbon dioxide, allowing for a wide range of applications.

The fuel cell power module generates electricity from hydrogen in vehicles. It is a highly integrated and compact system for fuel cell-electric commercial vehicles and buses, especially in long-distance applications. The system comprises a fuel cell stack and the fuel cell submodules, such as those for hydrogen and air, which are required for the stack to operate. With its impressive service life, robust design, and performance class, the product is designed to cope with commercial vehicle and bus applications as well as stationary requirements.
